Also just a reminder that we are launching “coffee chess” on Saturday morning 6th April at Aqua on the marina at 9.30 – 11.00. We will be bringing chess sets to this, but I do need to tell Aqua how many people will be coming, so they allocate us the right number of tables together, can you therefore just drop Jane (portisheadchessclub@gmail.com) a text or email to confirm you will be there. There is no charge for the event but Aqua would like people to buy drinks and a breakfast or breakfast bap so no need to have breakfast at home before coming! We are inviting some of Portishead Town council who were brilliant helping us with funding to keep the juniors free, to set up the junior club, to launch coffee chess, and put on the junior rapid play tournament, so please try to support Portishead Chess Club on Saturday morning by attending if you are ableJ.
